The Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation, PRONI Center for Youth Development and Peer Educators Network (PEN) invite all interested young people from 19 to 32 years from the territory of local self-governments Vranje, Sremska Mitrovica, Bijeljina, Brcko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina, South Mitrovica and Kamenica to apply to become members of the Youth Fund Board.
What are Youth Funds?
The Youth Funds project is implemented with the aim of increasing the participation of young people in the processes of local development through the allocation of funds to projects initiated and led by young people themselves.
Youth Fund Boards are comprised of 8 people from the local community that will manage the call for proposals and decide what projects will be implemented in the territory of their local municipality. Fund Board members will participate in 2 trainings which will enable them to monitor and support the selected groups that are implementing projects. Youth Fund Board members will also closely work with other Youth Funds Board members from the Western Balkans.
Do you want to become a Youth Fund Board member?
- Are you between 18 and 32 years old?
- Do you have previous experience supporting the youth in your community?
- Are you aware of the needs of young people in your city/municipality?
- Do you want to voluntarily contribute to the work of the Youth Fund for 10 months after becoming a member of the board?
- Are you eager to work with young people from your community and the Western Balkans region on community development and reconciliation?
What awaits you if you become a member of the Youth Fund Board?
- Mandatory 3-day program management training in September 2023 in your country
- Mandatory three-day training on community development and regional cooperation in August in Serbia
- Meetings, trainings and cooperation with representatives of PEN, PRONI and the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation
- Promotion of programs and education of young people about developing projects and obtaining funds and support for solving local problems of young people.
- Youth Fund Board will manage Youth Fund with the total budget of $7,000 per municipality.
- Opening a call for projects of informal youth groups in your municipality for up to $1,000 per project.
- Receiving, reading and scoring applications and selecting project applications for interviews (preliminary selection)
- Interviews with young people who sent project applications and decision-making with other board members which youth projects will receive grants from the Youth Fund.
- Informing groups about the results of the competition
- Signing of contracts and allocation of funds for approved projects
- Monitoring of project implementation, evaluation and reporting
- Cooperation with board members of other Youth Funds in the region
