Qualifications:
- University degree in Communications, Journalism, Social Sciences, Marketing, or other relevant area or university degree with relevant experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in working in communications environment.
- Experience and knowledge in public relations and public awareness.
- Experience and knowledge in dealing with traditional media.
- Experience in digital marketing, especially social media management.
Duties:
- Development of public relations strategies.
- Develops strategies for communicating projects successes and outreach for storytelling.
- Responsible for implementation of promotional and awareness raising campaigns.
- Oversees the development of and provides content for public awareness campaigns.
- Write and disseminate media advisories, news releases and respond to requests for information from the media.
- Prepare and deliver speeches to public.
- Prepare organizational publications and content for the website, blogs, and newsletter.
- Develop creative and engaging social media strategies, managing social media channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.
- Oversee, plan and deliver engaging multimedia content across different platforms using scheduling tools.
- Monitor, track, analyse and report on performance on social media platforms using tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook insights.
- Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with donors, partners, relevant institutions, media, individuals, diaspora, companies, CSOs etc.
- Administration and reporting on implemented project activities.
- Prepare organizational publications and content for the website, blogs, and newsletter.
- Manage website content through CMS and newsletter content through CRM.
Skills:
