Social, political and economic participation of young people in Western Balkans and Turkey

Serbia has the highest Youth Participation Index (YPI) in 2017 comparing to other countries in YBHWBT network, but this result is still far away from the level of youth participation in EU countries. After Serbia, there are Macedonia, Montenegro and Albania. The YPI for Turkey was not finally calculated owing to the lack of available data in this country.

Political Participation Index, showing the level of youth participation in political life, is highest in Montenegro and behind this country are Macedonia, Serbia, Albania and Turkey. Political Participation Index is in almost all countries about 4. The targeted value given in Council of Europe Agenda 2020 is 33,23.
