IT Bootcamp - nonprofit IT school for retraining people into IT sector

In order to bridge the gap in the labor market and help Serbia's economic acceleration, a group of donors from the diaspora decided to open an IT school in cooperation with the Foundation Ana and Vlade Divac. The goal of the school is to provide free knowledge to the population that did not have the opportunity to formally receive IT education.

Our mission is to create an opportunities for social progress for motivated individuals and increase the productivity of the Serbian economy through a qualified IT workforce.

The goal

The school provides free knowledge to the population that did not have the opportunity for formal IT education. The courses are focused on practical application in order to increase the placement of students to the workplaces.

Vision

To enable easy access to IT knowledge and a fair chance for motivated individuals that will contribute in making the IT industry of Serbia as a regional leader.

In 2018. a pilot project was successfully implemented. Out of 108 enrolled participants, 95 successfully completed IT Bootcamp. Up to now, 37 students have found their job opportunity or practice in the IT labor market. Interviewing continues, and we are expecting an increase in the mentioned results.

After a successful pilot phase, in 2019. school is continuing with work. Currently the third cycle of courses is in progress.
